Hey, PO didn't suck that bad, it just had a steep learning curve. All MGS's do. You have to get used to the somewhat complicated controls, but once you do, they're like second nature

For instance, in MGS4 when you're just standing, not pressing any buttons, R1 fires the gun, L2 and R2 control Item and Weapon menus respectively, but while you hold L1, which is the Aim button, the camera zooms in, and R2 changes to Secondary Fire, ie grenade launcher. Then, while aiming, you can hit square to toggle between manual aim and lock-on. It sounds really complicated, and it is, but you get used to it and it's really smooth once you do.
