RE: Homeless?
In holland the government does do something about it, and there's never any homeless people on the streets (at least not compared to the USA). Even if you don't have a job, the government at least gives you the bare minimum you need to get a roof and food, and everybody has basic insurance.

^^ nope not here in the USA... some people have lots of kids so the goverment will pay their rent and give them food stamps and give them a check every month and of course it comes out of us that works taxes... i know lots of able bodied LAZY donkey people who exploit this and it makes me really mad that they won't give my grandmother who has diabetes and is 76 years with one leg and in a wheelchair any kind of help at all!!! here in cleveland were i live its bad like that.. become a heroin addict and they pay your rent... have 6 kids and a husband that won't work or gets locked up because selling drugs is easier and they pay your rent.. it a bunch of BULL SHIT... if you don't contribute to society you don't deserve much unless your handicap or need assistance for a short period because you fell upon hard times..

that's actually half true, I've seen both, one guy gave me 5 buck for the bus once, i saw he had a wad of cash and i asked him, and then I've seen homeless guy with literally no cash, only a bike and a sleeping bag

i suppose the government should help but it shouldn't be more than a home and a job, I've heard of programs that like give them a whole life, they need to make a life of their own, the government just needs to give them a home, a job, and then help them get out of there

Same here in Australia.

Atleast in canberra, I haven't really seen any homeless people.

Government gives you money if you don't have a job.  «---  I don't actually think that's the best idea. Many people on dole can actually get a job and all, but since they can live alright lives without doing anything, they do exactly that. And tax payers have to pay for them. The government needs a way to filter out that kind of slackers living off taxpayer's money from the people who really needs them.

RE: Homeless?
Ok, here's a true story, I saw a guy begging for change on the skyway downtown when I was going for lunch.  While at Subway, I decided to buy a sub for him as well.  When I tried giving it to him, he got pissed about it, saying he can't spend it, what the hell was I doing giving him a fudgeing sandwich.  There are some people who does need help, but there are several more who are just to lazy to get a job, some of them do make a livable income doing this.
