How does HostGator compare with IX Web Hosting?

Here's a review:

*EDIT* It seems the $5/month deal is only for a 24 month contract :(  I'll look around though.

Mainly HostGator is a little too expensive right now, which is why I'm going with 1&1 right now - I don't need a lot of features - for $3/month, I seem to get all I really need, and will for at least a few months (I'll sign up for a 6 month contract).
When I can confirm my bank account details, I stick a Donate link at the top of the forum.

np, yeah paypal is slow with the withdrawals and stuff, shame.

Dang 1&1 seems to have increased their price to $5/month - F****ING HELL!  Urgh, I'll probably go with IX Hosting or something, for $7/month (domain included).
Anyone else can find a cheaper plan?  Really, I don't have much use for 200GB webspace and 2000GB monthly transfer.

but it would be cool :P

Yeah, I checked GoDaddy - it's not bad actually, $3.20/month + $2 domain registration for a year.  I still have to consider stuff :P
