gsmoke Wrote:Vibe i still use the old RCOeditor for the topmenu, everytihng else is wonderfull with 1.15c version. Also i found that the PNG is making a big topmenu, the biggest i reach was 7Mb ,only topmenu. The best way to use the new editor is staying with BMPs with alpha and smaller icons you can i guess 80x80 ors 112x112 will do fine but if you build the whole topmenu with BMP and uncompressed the result will be big topmenu...icons missing. the best way to produce it smaller is with 1.14d version and then the hacked version.

Also for every size PNG should work fine in the new version C,should be...

Frimware im on 3.71.And i use for the topmenu like i said 1.14d version and then the hacked3.71.
So you're saying 1.15c generates larger files?  It could because it uses 32 bit GIMs at times, but the program generally tries to use 8 bit if possible, so, if you use an image with 256 colours or less, the filesize should turn out the same.
You can try enforcing indexed colour more through the Options dialog.

Open the .ini file, and change the line:

Code:
NoUpdatChk = 0

(set the value to 1)

Hope that helps.

Yes Zinga ,its like you said , Png is generating bigger size files.

What i did , i build the topmenu with indexed BMP files , and it works just fine.

No no Zinga sorry to confuse you , with indexed BMP is working like a charm, the size gets proper and the icons are visible.

RE: [PSP] RCO Editor v1.15c
In the pass Ive used a program called Logo Injector to make my

own custom opening_plugin.rco.

This allowed me to use larger BMPs in my opening.

Ive tried to use 1.15C to do the same thing but all Im

getting is a blank ..... nothing shows up.

Ive tried 8bit and 32 bit BMPs, but still nothing.

Can anyone tell me what Im doing wrong ????
