More findings:
It seems that if you change an icon, or a menu name it has no effect on the actual XMB, even though the RCO has been changed... does this mean that it's reading the names from the PTF?
Also, when I told it not to use Cookies, the cookies theme is still on flash1 (i checked in hex workshop) and I'm guessing the PSP is just told not to read the icons from the PTF or something similar.
But what's really weird, when I deactivated cookies and flashed a new topmenu_icon.rco, it had no effect on the icons even though i had changed the game icon.. and it didn't shut off the PSP... somethings weird here
Edit: Ok now it just freezes and no icons show up

yeah The rco's are weird now and stuff. . . . Sony really sucks. . . . first copying us by making themes and now making it so that wee can't use our own themes!

dummy file into memstick>>psp>>theme>>selected the dummy in the xmb and then tried flashing a decrypted 3.71 topmenu rco,..
