CatchUp!
Well hey everyone,

How's things? been a long long long time, place still looks the same though!

So how has everyone been?

I moved from Ireland to London two months ago, looking for a development job in  London at the moment since there is sweet F all back in Ireland. I'm sure a lot more than that has happened since I was last here though!!!

Also I have a beard. Well my weak attempt at growing one, I have hair where I can grow it so basically a van dyke! Madwin

J'adore, good to hear from you again!
Dang, I always remembered you as the Irish guy.  Can't think of you that way any more; hope London's treating you well.
What sort of development are you looking at doing?

RE: CatchUp!
J'adore it's been awhile!

I still lurk EP most days, it has got more and more quiet, but wee all still seem to share the same interests.

People are busy these days! Wee are all growing older.

In the time I have been on EP, I have finished high school, a 3 year BCS degree, and then got a full time job in IT. So yeah, I am on the busy wagon.

I'm still in NZ, and if all goes well ill do some traveling for the first time at the end of the year.

Good luck in London!

I've been stranded on an island of gorillas. In my willingness to survive. I've learned and followed their ways and slowly I became a gorilla and no longer can remember what creature I was before being left on this isolated land surrounded by an ocean swarming with killer sock puppets all which have a fondness of wrist watches which can also keep track of time and the moon phase.

Yeah, I've changed.

RE: CatchUp!
Yeah so the last 6 weeks I have been working in a wilkos in London from 4am - 1pm 5 days a week. But I must say I have really enjoyed working there which has really surprised me!

I have good news though, yesterday I signed my new contract for a development role in central London! I start Tuesday week. I will be developing for touch screen devices for television such as sky sports, xfactor etc. and they have other clients all over the world.

On a side note how many people on here live in London currently?

RE: CatchUp!
Hey guys,

Sorry I know I started this thread ages ago but am finally getting back to it, really want to start hanging out here a bit again ( I hang out nowhere online now)!

Anyway the new dev role is brilliant. Learning a lot about television graphics which is quite cool and interesting. In fact I'm finding television work more interesting than games these days!

Zinga no not tablets, larger touch screens like say 60"+ on television sets, in store windows (you can touch screens through windows!) etc. A lot of the dev work I do now is in JS and runs in the browser on one of these screens.

Have been doing some Oculus work which is pretty fun but honestly not a big Oculus fan, it just isn't very good imo. Maybe whenever a consumer model is released it might be better, personally I am waiting for hololens to start messing with AR (or magic leap if whatever that is is ever released!).

All in all the new job is actually pretty diverse in what I do if I was to try and list it all here I'd just be going on far too long!
