4 of my friends who read the LN said that was one of the saddest part of the whole series which is anticipated by many fans. so i think they did well on the novel (i haven't read it too)

Anyways after going through about 16 different shows, the only interesting ones are Kokoro Connect, Sword Art Online, and Binbougami Ga!

I'm waiting on 3 more to air (or they already have but I haven't checked)

The thing that ruined Ep.3 of SAO for me was...

took a little peek at the LN
anime eps 3 is from book 2
it's flashback chapter since on actual timeline on book 1 sachi is already dead at some point and memory about her is already sealed deep within kirito's memory (mentioned a few times)
at book 2, the whole story of eps 3 is served in 1 chapter (divided into 4 parts) while the book itself contains only 4 chapters
so there are many events are skipped... and the pace should be much slower... like 4-6 eps

by the way be prepared to get disappointed again, next eps titled black swordman is also 1 full chapter of book 2,, just like eps 3

When Sachi started humming "Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer".  Okay, the scene was supposed to be emotional, but humming a Christmas song about a reindeer being ostracized for having a glowing red nose, just made me want to laugh more than cry at that moment.

Also, the from the moment she appeared and started talking about how much she didn't want to die, and how she wanted to go home, I knew she was going to die at the end of that episode.  It just seemed so predictable :/

I can see what you're trying to say but at that point I wasn't even paying attention to what she was humming. I had already lost interest in that particular scene and much more on the episode overall. I hope they don't keep trying to rush the plot as the anime progresses.
