religion is a tool
used to rally the people
to unite them under the same beliefs
so they may stand as one

but each religion only represents one side
one faction
if you will
and the dissimilarities between these factions serve to drive them apart

I listened to my parents discuss Christianity

their beliefs

and how they seemed so sure that their god was the right god
I think I'd almost forgotten how long it had been since I truly stopped believing in any heaven or hell
It almost astounds me to hear these people, far older than I, to discuss
with such sincerity

Religion is a tool to unite many people and make them listen to one person, the priest, the father, the pope, and that they could be controlled by this person not one by one but as a whole.

I'm not against any religion but I've been asked by some guy on the street to convert to some "born again" religion. It's ANNOYING having random people asking you to convert to some religion.
