The future may be tinkering with the present
Quote:A radical rethinking of quantum mechanics suggests that the universe has a defined destiny, and that already traced fate is coming back in time to influence the past or the present.
It is an awesome statement, but as some cosmologists believe that a radical reformulation of quantum mechanics, in which the future can affect the past, could solve some of the greatest mysteries of the universe, including how life arose.
And beyond the origin of life, could also explain the source of dark energy and solve other cosmic enigmas.
What is most striking is that the researchers said that recent laboratory experiments confirm dramatically the concepts that are the base of this reformulation.
Ah, now those movies like "The Terminator" makes even more sense...
Think about the possibilities..

This is kind of like how physicists theorized that the Higgs Boson is preventing us from finding it by going back in time.

i beleive this. that's why wee havent found another planet to live on that's close, some one went back in time, and made sure the big bang was bigger then normal to blast the spoon further away.

Ha, isn't it? Strangely i got that name from one of the local seers that i had around my living location when i was a child. She said that it was my first name in a past life, and the other one said that i was a white fox (lol) so i kept those. Don't mind the details, thought.

Very true, and now the Hitchhiker`s guide to galaxy is even more interesting. Douglas Adams is a Hitchhiker that was able to go to "The Restaurant at the End of the Universe", and left that marvelous at our time. I still keep thinking, though, the atoms resemble galaxies, and galaxies resemble atoms... so, its a... Endless Paradigm! galaxy » atom » galaxy » atom » infinite

Yes, very true. And about that... Its supposed to the LHC to do this job, right? That, or either the small black holes..
Quote:Higgs boson
When the protons collide in the center of the detectors generated particles are scattered in all directions. To capture them, the ATLAS and CMS have many overlapping layers of sensors, which should check the properties of these particles, measure their energies and find out the path they follow.
The major interest of scientists is to discover the Higgs boson, the only missing piece to assemble the puzzle that explains the "materiality" of our universe. It was long believed that atoms were indivisible unit of matter. Then scientists discovered that the atom itself was the result of the interaction of more fundamental particles. And they were discovering these particles one by one. Between quarks and leptons, bosons and fermions are 16 fundamental particles: 12 matter particles and 4 force-carrying particles.
