Basically debug firmware is a special type of firmware that allows users to test games and change hidden options of the PSP. Note this is only the firmware, the actual Devkit PSP console is very expensive and needs a license.

So basically you can use this on 1k, 2k, 3k and go?? I just wanted to test this on my fudgeed psp 2k
