Yeah, I know I'm not the wittiest poster on this forum (and i don't really enjoy wasting your guy's recent thread spaces with something like this :P) but i figured that for all the people who care and love me; I decided to give an update to what I've been up to.
First of all, got past university with marks I was never able to achieve in highschool, which is weird because I have no idea what i was doing to improve; I have to say I'm pretty impressed for how far I've come. My worst class this term would probably have been poetry, as i am a souless and emotionless person (this is what poets want you to believe if you don't enjoy the art), i struggled (read: didn't care) through the course. Fearing a fail in the course (ugh, there goes my gpa) I took the final exam, writing a rather good essay and giving up by the second (it was a literal paragraph long). Fortunately, I got all the other questions and my first essay was good enough to warrant me a 70% in the course and 70% overall, woohoo!
Continuing on with a rather boring monologue about boosting my self esteem, I'm crossing my fingers in getting a transfer back home and getting to live with my parents and saving money; because that's what i need these days. Yawn.
Anyway, I had also discovered that in Canada, that, for some weird reason; the ASUS EP 121 tablet was still in stock. What did i do you say? I sold my macbook and jumped the bandwagon to get it. My first impressions were, W_O_W.
If you were a student like me last term, you would've known i used my tablet extensively for homework and notetaking. The wacom digitizer made me literally jizz my pants (Oh i kid, i kid); with this tablet, it really is the closest thing to writing "on paper." The thing's performance is also amazing for a tablet, while it IS hefty and low on the battery side of things; I can see that this tablet is really made for the university student or digital artist, giving ample amounts of battery to the very few while you will be using this in a place without a battery. To be honest, I wouldn't use the tablet from a wall for a long time for the fact that it is quite expensive and that most of the time, I never take my tablet with me to the times I'm far from electricity. Odds are, I'll probably be enjoying my day outside than using a tablet in such a manner. Even when I was using my old tablet with 6 hour battery life, i would find myself NEVER taking it outside of the university or at home, you literally just don't use it outside. Oh well, that's my rationale in excusing the poor battery life, but for what it's giving you, it's pretty damn good to have in this package.
You would think that 1000$ is quite a big sum to pay for such a tablet, but hear me out; this is probably the most amazing price ranges for technology like this. You need to consider that it comes with a core i5 processor and the ability to play HDMI; plus the fact it has an IPS screen, wacom digitizer, 2-4GB of ram, a super fast SSD, capacitive touch and a full windows 7 installation. Damn, I would've thought that all those goodies would've easily racked up to 1500$. Also, it comes with a pretty good bluetooth keyboard, which retails for around 60$ dollars; I have say (again) that this is a very good price.
If you guys want to hear a full review from me, just comment on it; I wouldn't mind writing it up, i am free for a week (then summer school, yayyyyy).
Hmmm, what else...Yeah, it seems I come closer to my goals, life is uncertain as always though. I do hope that to all my readers (come on, EP is a fixed group of people :P) that you guys are having an easy time with work or school.
Cheers,

The tablet with it's pressure sensitivity and what not has also bolstered my love for digital art, I plan to use it for some stuff in the future :)
