Best story in a recent game
Stories are not most games' strong point, which is why I am surprised when a game has an amazing story. My choice would be Persona 4. You need to play this game (if you have  a hundred hours of free time). What do you think?

can't think of a very good storytelling in a video game now a days

i think Persona 4 holds the top spot, next is God of War, it looks like a movie to me

Persona 4? It was good, but the plot's pretty meh. At best, it's only ever about catching the killer.
Persona 3, on the other hand, upgrades from "stopping shadows" to "save the world".
Of course, my experiences with the two games might color my judgement, P4 just didn't have the spit and shine that P3 had.

Unfortunately recently I've been playing japanese games, so I can't exactly say.

The last english game I played with a pretty good storyline was NIER, though I was going to get that in Japanese so I wouldn't even understand the storyline either lol XD.

Uhh, Witch Tale: Minarai Majo to 7-Jin no Princess, I guess. Interesting story, but you have to beat it twice to get the full story, and even when you do that, there's millions of plot holes that need to be filled with your own interpretation.
