There was a program called Mp3DVD or something like that , that will maybe help you.

I do this the old fashioned way , i ripp of my original dvd (got plenty of them) then after i got the files placed on my pc , i open them with DVD2AVI and SAVE PROJECT , then select the audio like WAV , and you got it done , then use some Audio editing software to increase the volume off the file and to convert it  to 44000 hz .
