SC2 Free Play Weekend
For those who wish to play SC2 online without buying the game, Blizzard is running a promotion over the weekend to allow this.  Only seems to apply for people in Asia/Aust/NZ, IDK if other regions have something similar, or what's exactly stopping them from doing this, but anyway...
http://sea.blizzard.com/support/article....rhtml=true

EDIT Oh I see, SEA = South East Asia server I think.

Copy pasta from above link:
Quote:Q:  How does the Free Play Weekend promotion work?
A:   Eligible players will receive free access to both Single Player and Multiplayer modes of StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty for a 72 hour period starting at 12:01 a.m. Singapore time on Friday, November 19th and ending at 11:59 p.m. Singapore time Sunday, November 21st.

Q:  Who is eligible for the Free Play Weekend?
A:  Players in Southeast Asia, Australia and New Zealand who have a Battle.net account but do not currently have a StarCraft II license attached to it.

Q: I already own a copy of StarCraft II. How can I benefit from the Free Play Weekend?
A:  The Free Play weekend is intended for people who have not already purchased StarCraft II, similar to an open beta test for players to try the game out on a limited-time basis. If you have any friends who have not tried or are interested in trying StarCraft II, this is the perfect opportunity for them to do so.

Q: If I add time to my account before the Free Play Weekend am I still eligible to for the Free Play Weekend?
A:  No.  Anyone who has ever added time to their account prior to 12:01 a.m. Singapore time on November 19th will not be eligible for this promotion.

Q:  I have played StarCraft II via a Guest Pass.   Am I eligible to access the 3 Day Free Play promotion on the same Battle.net account?
A:  No.  Only Battle.net accounts without an existing StarCraft II license attached are eligible to participate.

Q:  How do I download the game client?
A:  Beginning on Monday November 15th you can download the client from the Free Play Weekend web page (http://sea.battle.net/en/sc2freeplay).   This download link will be active throughout the 72 hour promotional period.

Q:  If I download the client before the promotion begins, can I get access to the free promotional time early?
A:  No.  The access to the free time will be awarded to existing eligible Battle.net accounts at the beginning of the 72 hour promotional period.

Q:  Will I be able to join the promotion after it begins?
A:  Yes.  Simply go to the Free Play Weekend web page (http://sea.battle.net/en/sc2freeplay) to create a new Battle.net account and to add a StarCraft II license and the promotional time to your account.  Note that you will have access to both single and multiplayer modes only up until 11:59 p.m. Singapore time on Sunday November 21st.

Q: If I add time to my account during the free play weekend, when does it start counting down?
A:  If you add time to your account once you are in the free play weekend, your time will not begin to deduct until the free play weekend time has expired.

Q: Will I be able to play StarCraft II on the free weekend in an internet game room or gaming café?
A:  As long as the cafe has StarCraft II installed, you can log in with your own Battle.net account to enjoy the free-play weekend, provided you meet the eligibility rules above. Call and make sure your neighbourhood cafes install StarCraft II before November 19th!

Q:  How do I keep playing StarCraft II after the promotion is over?
A:  The StarCraft II license will remain attached to your Battle.net account after the free play time expires.   To continue to play, simply purchase any StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty box or a time card at a retail location or a digital subscription through the Battle.net Account Management system.

Q: Will I retain my records from the free-play weekend if I decide to upgrade to a full retail version or purchase prepaid game cards?
A: Yes, your account will retain all your in-game records and progress from the free-play weekend, as well as any you gain from using prepaid game cards in the future. This includes portraits, achievements, win-loss records, and league rankings.

True I guess (which is why they're probably doing this).
For those interested but not willing to buy it though, it may be worth a shot.

I'm really not as good as you think.

Ok, I can probably roll over the average kid down the block, but if you want to see expert level micro, you'll probably almost definitely be disappointed.

Especially SC2.  I mean WC3 I practiced some back then, but I pretty much have not practiced this at all, besides for the campaigns and like 10-20 games against bots.  Just hoping what I remember back then from SC1 can somewhat carry over.

Only if you can play 24 hours a day, of course.

I haven't played SC2 in months.  I got rolled by the computers when I tried before, and Assassinator will most likely beat me easy.

Not necessary.  I mean I don't have an SC2 account either, so I probably haven't played many more games than you have.  Only played 10-20 games against the bot (during and after the campaigns).

Rolling over kids is Warcraft 3 back then.  SC2 I mostly have no fucking idea what I'm doing, never studied it like I studied WC3 back then.
