The good ol internet.

So when did you first come across the internet?

What do you do while on the internet?

What would you do without the internet

I remember my first experience with the internet. It was at my older cousins, and she had just set up her AOL and it had to be about 1995. Me and my cousin of the same age (older cousins little brother). Wee went on the then AIM and the chatrooms it had. Wee soon had what wee thought was an older lady typing all this crazy spoon to us. It was an awesome first brush with the internet. And Ive used it in the same manner since Itchingsmile

I normally just talk to friends, download games or Movies or hershey kisses or course.

I would die without the internet, I recently had a dry spell without the internet and I NEARLY READ A BOOK!!

I think it was like 1999, I made my dad but a 52k modem, but I didnt know how it worked so wee wasted $100 for nothing :/ I was six lol

Many moons ago. Mid-late-90s. I used to play Lego games, and Habbo hotel a lot. Then Runescape. (Runescape is actually how I discovered Firefox :p IE wasn't working for Runescape, so I searched for an alternate browser, and BAM there was Firefox)

I don't even know. Refresh pages a lot. Facebook, 8bc, ChipMusic.org, here, -Hacks occasionally, etc.

Ah! I remember playing Runescape back in 6th grade. Everybody in the local library was playing it.

Didn't do much on it back then though.  Practically nothing actually, apart from me and my dad downloading some MS-DOS games.
At home, parents would always complain if I connected, since wee had dialup and they get pissed if they can't call whenever they want to.
Only got a non-dialup connection in late 2006 (256kbps 1GB/mo limit), a few months before I started this forum actually.

Anyway, I played Neopets back in 2000, which you could actually "cheat" back then (cause their script had various issues).  Always rushed to the library computers at lunch to play it, lol.
In 2001, also played Pokemon Crater, but I realised that the script was over-trusting of user input, and you could "forge" any Pokemon into your account, so I stuck like level 10000 Mewtoo's on my account.  Was fun beating other people, but got boring fairly quickly.
I was also doing HTML/Javascript poo poo at the time, so I fiddled a bit with hosting.

My next big thing I used to do was perhaps download random programs.  Used to spend ages looking at various freeware/shareware to see what interested me.
Somewhat became interested in forums in 2004 when I was looking up guides on Final Fantasy at GameFAQs, I saw a discussion board there.  I never joined back then though.

Got a PSP late 2005 and looked around to see what stuff was available for it.  Nearly updated it to firmware 2.60, when I saw an ad for free PSP games.  Since I don't click ads, I Googled for it, and ended up finding about PSP hacks and such, and just happened to see that firmware 1.50 was required for this stuff.  Had started following the PSP hacking scene out of interest (whenever I went to the library).

Former, I'd browse at work/Uni/library, which is what I did before late 2006.
Latter, I probably wouldn't have been interested in computers as much, and this may actually significantly have affected my life, so IDK.

Probably sometime between 1997-1999. Shitty dialup internet with 20MB monthly cap or something. Which was actually enough, since the web back then was free of PNG and other bandwidth eating clutter, and I also hardly used it (only to do research for primary school projects really).

My head's full of fuck right now, so I don't feel like thinking too much, but pretty much that...
