Do you backup your legit stuff?
An argument for being able to copy DVDs/CDs/whatever, bypassing copyright protection is to backup stuff on the discs.

But do you actually back up that stuff?
I've got some music CDs ripped on my HDD for convenience purposes (don't care about a backup), but I don't have any backups of legit software discs or DVDs that I have (not that I ever really use them or watch them).

Do you backup your legit discs?

If anything backed up it would be backing up pirated stuff. The software cd's I have are old anti-viruses that never needed a back-up and most movies I see are downloaded from internet yet I own over 300 dvd movies and never backed them up. Anime dvd boxsets I own are never backed up as well since I never watch them.
I sometimes copy music cd's to give to my friends.
I backed up Threads of Fate one time...but I lost it so I downloaded it. =3='

I actually don't... I probably would if I had something to place them on like an external hdd or something...

Generally, no.

I'm usually quite careful with my stuff, so I tend not to scratch/damage them.  Of course, disks decay over time by themselves, however careful you are... bit it hasn't happened yet and I don't expect it to happen any time soon.

i would. theres times where i have backed up stuff i required a use for at a later date.

such as PS2 Controller drivers from 3.5 inch drive
