Posts deleted, replaced with "undefined"
Has anyone else created a thread, and upon posting it, seen only "undefined" in the body of the first post?

I've had it happen twice now. First time, I had copied most of it luckily, as I often do with longer posts, but the second time, I did not, and am now going to have to repost. Zinga, you have any idea what could be the problem?

Edit: I also noticed that the last time it happened, when I tried clicking on the video icon, instead of typing out the tags, it would not select, and I ended up having to just go with tags anyways. Perhaps coincidence?

Games and Entertainment. Just now reposted.

I deleted the original thread, so that people would not have to read a blank thread while I was reposting.

Nope. Sounds unusual.. the only time I've found "undefined" was when MyPlaza wasn't working properly and donations didn't work.

Pretty obvious what undefined means though...

Odd indeed....

Odd :/
So posting the same thing can sometimes work and sometimes cause it to be replaced with undefined?
If so, that makes things difficult to track down >_>

RE: Posts deleted, replaced with "undefined"
I just encountered this problem but when editing my signature. After saving it and redirecting, my sig just said "undefined" and everything else was gone...strange :/

IDK what it is... but if it happens again, I'll be sure to report it. The first time seemed like a fluke, but the second time was just plain annoying!

RE: Posts deleted, replaced with "undefined"
From what you guys have said, this sounds like an issue with the bbcode editor.  But otherwise, I can't really figure out how to pinpoint it.  Maybe it's got something to do with one of these:
- whether you let the entire page load (could also be a possible conflict with how MyBB's task system works)
- your browser
- button's you've pressed in the editor

That's my guess anyway.  Perhaps disabling the editor in the UserCP will remove this issue, though if you do find out some consistent pattern, that would be great :)

Thanks again for reporting.

RE: Posts deleted, replaced with "undefined"
Did it again. Am on a completely different computer, at work. Both times, I was using firefox. This time, I just typed in two words. I wasn't creating a thread this time, but was quoting someone. I can't really think of any commonalities between the 3 instances other than the most basic... :<
