Assassinator Wrote:Think Japan is a superior country and most stuff from Japan is better than your own country's counterpart. "Oh, it'd be sooo much better if I was born in Japan instead".
Eh, Australia doesn't have many great things, but I reckon it's a great country apart from it's poo poo internet
Assassinator Wrote:Regularly use Japanese words in your speech ("This doll is way kawaii").
On the internet, a little bit, in real life almost never.
Assassinator Wrote:Will very regularly choose to buy Japanese food or Japan orignated food at a premium (eg. pocky) with little reason besides for the fact that it originated in Japan. (And if you say that's because Japanese food tastes the best and/or is the only stuff that tastes good, then you get bonus wap points).
My mother has an Asian background so I get to eat japanese treats and meals along with other Asian cultural food. I enjoy some of it because it really does taste good to me, I do have other food apart from Asian more often though and it's my mum who's buying it so no wap points for me there, I guess.
Assassinator Wrote:Are completely obsessed with anime, such that it's pretty much the only stuff you watch (because "obvious anime is superior to whatever trash is on local TV").
Well, I'm pretty guilty of that.
Assassinator Wrote:Will always side with the Japanese side whatever the argument, even if it's against your own country. Bonus wap points if it's become a natural instinct.
Well, I am against Japanese Whaling, so again, no wap points for me.
Assassinator Wrote:Regularly bring up how Japan is good xyz and/has awesome xyz and whatever during random conversations... (A: Fuck, I hate it when I miss the train. B: In Japan, they have these awesome high tech bullet trains, they're like way fast and way confortable...., Japan also has the best... ...")
Only if the subject is relevant to Japan, and I usually say it as a fact not as a I think this is so great about Japan opinion.
Assassinator Wrote:Owns collections of Japanese stuff like figures, dollfies, whatever imported at ripoff prices, and/or cosplay costumes, and they are some of your most treasured possesions.
Apart from cosplay and ripoff prices, I'm also guilty of that.
Assassinator Wrote:In games and/or interenet forums where you can give a nick to yourself and/or your character, you always choose some Japanese name, and/or add "-chan/-san/-kun/-whatever" to the end of the name.
Nope, however in RPGs where you create your own characters, I name my characters after anime characters depending on the class and design but I don't add the -chan/-kun/whatever at the end of names.
Assassinator Wrote:Mostly listen to Japanese music. Either because "English/whatever music have trash lyics" (in reality, Japanese music isn't any better), or "Japanese music sounds better". EDIT: or "Japanese idols more kawaii".
I don't listen to much Japan music except from the opening and end credits of anime.
I've listened to some english singers before from Sonic the Hedgehog sound tracks and I enjoyed it but really I don't listen to much music in general
Assassinator Wrote:Will always prefer to watch anime in Japanese with subtitles, and think English dubs are always trash and way inferior, and will defend this point to death. (Psychology fact: while in reality, a lot of the times it's probably because the first version of anything you hear will go into your mind as the "normal", and everything after will get compared to it and thus appear "off" or "incorrect").
The whatever you listen too first thing seems almost correct about me.
I sometimes want to watch dubs instead because I can just watch and listen while with dubs I have to watch, listen, read and occasionally back track when I missed reading something. Subs for me are good if I cannot be bothered finding the dub of an anime or if it hasn't been dubbed or if the English voices are really unbearable.
Assassinator Wrote:Is feeling butthurt upset from reading this post. (Really, if you're not a wapanese, why would you?)
Yep, that's right. Why would I be butthurt?
Assassinator Wrote:...then you show signs of being a wapanese.
D:
Assassinator Wrote:If... A couble of these things match what you do, and you prefer to keep that fact hidden... then you're mildly wapanese, and it's probably fine for the most part, as long as it doesn't escalate further.
Well, I'm fine though I've already revealed some of my Wapanese side on this post.
I haven't told anyone else in real life (though I told them I am into anime to the least) but what I am meant to do if people found out I had a Lolita Complex?
