i think this problem was in the first fading common_gui.prx's i released. its not likely related with the sysconf_plugin.rco.

just open the topmenu_plugin.rco with your hexeditor and just rename _one_ of the ms icon pointers (tex_MSpic as example) to tex_ms (case sensitive!)

Just choose in theme settings!!

Bstronga i found a small glitch, when you get in theme settings>>>theme at first you do not see the selecting arrows got to go all the way up to "original" and then they appear again..
