I doubt it will last that long normally.
But today's netbooks on a 6 cell battery apparently last up to around 8 hours. Plug in a 9 cell and you should be able to break 10.
IDK about tablets though.
Yeah, this one looks like they truly fail to meet the market. However, with their marketing, it could still work. I bet a lot of people don't know about alternative tablet PCs out there and like the ease of the interface compared to Windows...
By the way, listening to music on that thing would be lol.
EDIT: Hmm, just noticed that this is actually quite light - around 0.7kg, whereas my netbook is around 1kg.
As for pricing:
Quote:The most basic iPad, with 16GB of flash memory, will be priced at $499. A 32GB version will cost $599 and a 64GB version will cost $699.
All iPads can access the Internet using WiFi, but Apple will also sell versions of the iPad that connect to high-speed 3G wireless networks from carriers like AT&T. Those devices will cost an additional $130, meaning that the 16GB, 32GB and 64GB models will cost $629, $729 and $829, respectively.
The 3G version also requires a data plan, which AT&T will offer to U.S. customers for $14.99/month for up to 250 MB of data usage, or $29.99/month for unlimited data usage.

Yeah I doubt it would last that long, my tablet PC with a 6-cell battery doesn't last that long. I think i could average 5 hours on power saver mode and not using the touch screen. But I am not complaining because I don't stay on the computer long unless I am gaming and I plug it in when I do that.

I can imagine the silhouette ipod commercial of this thing, all they need to to is make the ipod bigger and that's your commercial!

The thing probably uses less power. It's probably using an ARM CPU as opposed to an x86 for your tablet, and has less stuff (eg USB ports, optical drive, keyboard/trackpad etc).

This was the one thing of apple I was actually following. And it failed hard. The one thing that might of made me re-think the way I see apple. too bad it just made me think even worse of them.
Seriously. Did they even think before making this and say to themselves "What do people want in a tablet?" instead they did this
Now I am 100% sure the Microsoft courier will be 10x better than this.
