and those data plans are with AT&T, no deals with O2 or Orange have been struck yet, so for all wee know it could be locked into a contract in the UK. which it isn't in the US.
the 3G 64GB is running up near the $900 mark, which means here it will be ~£750-£800. i.e. good in America, rip-off here.
if i want a tablet PC i want it to have a real Operating System, not a gimped mobile one that's been upscaled to a bigger screen. I'm disappointed in it really, it could've been so much better than that.
sure you can watch videos on it, but who would when you have a TV, and it isn't widescreen so films which are (i.e. ALL FILMS) appear with MASSIVE black bars above them on the screen. Use a laptop or a desktop, or even better buy a disc for the same price and watch it on a TV lol
Listen to music? It has one speaker!
Play games? Yes, upscaled iPhone games. Fail. I have an iPhone for that.
Also the massive problem of storage, it is treated like a computer, but the majority of people won't be stupid enough to get a 64GB version, and you'll be running out very quickly.
on top of that, it virtually has just made the MacBook Air completely redundant, and from what I've seen so far you can't do 2 things at once on it.
it also eats away at your main PC's storage, it has to be synced like an iPhone so it backs up everything on it every time you plug it in, space wasted. The fact that even syncs is indication that it needs to be to be updated constantly. Irritating.
id much rather have a Windows 7 tablet PC if i wanted to use it as a real tablet, multitasking, true flexibility, the ability to install any program you want, piracy (yes, piracy lol) a Windows 7 tablet has the lot.
for doing virtually nothing other than word processing, the iPad is your ridiculously overpriced bet.
