i had this once and copied the prx again and then it worked good!
Do you have any white blocks arround some of the network sub icon's!?
I have no white blocks but I have custom icons maybe it doesn't matter? I copied the common_gui.prx again but my psp freezed by the music and rss channel, by online instruction manuals the loadicon goes very slowy but he load it!

I have custom icon's too but i also made shadow and blinking affect for each icon..maybe thtas why..
I read something about the 1-12/bmp you changed and then the white blocks were gone!?
I have none freezes only 2 white blocks arround : "online instru...." and " remote control" icon's
Now i am back to my own tutoriol that only resolution 256x64 works with option_menu.bmp and having no white blocks..
I hope bstrong can fix this someway...
PS if you copy your back-up commen_gui.prx back you do not have these problems!?
bstronga Wrote:the white box is due having 2 144x272 infobar...
it can be fixed by removing shadow/glow in topmenu properly.
just drop a link to your topmenu_plugin.rco
I do not understand what you mean by "2 144x272 infobar!?
I send you my top menu but i do not want to lose the shadow/glow..!?
Anyway.. check your PM inbox..
The top menu is not completely finished yet..
PS using a 256x64 resolution bmp also fixes it but reduces the quality of option menu..
I made the .bmp 144x64 the quality is poor/less but all icons are good!!
Edit: I did it!!(well Bstronga did it! hum uhm) i got the bmp at max res of 144x176 and it looks smooth and above all the xmb icons all work without white blocks!!
bstronga Wrote:one 144x272 image is in system_plugin.rco, another in music_main_plugin.rco so it does increase the memory footprint significanty.
144x276?
No i rezised the bmp to 144x176 and the option menu looks smooth and my icon's work good!!
Its nothung to do with memory.. i quess cause when i used only the option menu and option menu for music plug_in i still get white blocks..
I think when you use higher resolution then 144x176 you overlap the icon's somehow..

aah 176 lol... no, its a memory thing, i made many test so I'm pretty sure that the firmware reserved a limited amount of memory for xmb graphics to use.
and i forgot to answer a previous question again.

If you could really make a fade in that would be nice.. that's when the picture becomes slowly visible at the same position..
ahh sorry for my crappy english.
well i can make it appear at same position but not slowly.
i attached it...
and just throwing in one scrolling in from the left slowly
This is with 144x176 resolution bmp in the system_plugin.rco and the music_main_plugin.rco
This is the music menu working thanks to your prx !!(picture above)
And the normal option menu works too!!
Erg tof!!

I want to make custom 1-12.bmp but all icon's get screwde up/blocked..
I know it has something to with the resolution of the sub menu icon's but i can not use the original sdw and fcs resolutions in rco editor..
I left the original sony umd and memorystick shadow and blink icon's in place and those are shown good.. that's why i know my custom shadow and blink icons have to be the original resolution too..
