I have the same problem...

I just did everything the same way... and it won't boot aswell.

I just went from 1.50 like  3 other times... it keeps semi bricking...

same problem with the vsh.prx...

same problem with the vsh.prx...

Look What i did was only changin the font color for january,using zingas app and it worked from the first try,did you saw that the text file you have to edit have spaces exactly one space after every command,
maybe this will helps you out.I still have to try my backup to see if it works,or the homebrew.if i need to patch every homebrew to run,well its not so bad.

your psp needs to be stock.. no customizations, then it will work

Um make sure you don't have autorun on in recovery, sometimes it won't let you boot
