RE: New PC advice please
Think of this... before Intel released Core2, they were selling Pentium Dual Cores. They had higher clock speed than Core2, but were also slower at the same time.
Wee're currently in the era of trying to do more per tick of clock, rather than trying to increase clock speed, as you can see, Corei7's clock speeds aren't really any higher than Core2 either. So comparing clock speeds is not the way to go.

EDIT: Method beat me >_>
What a little desperate kid. Wee should delete his threads and see if he makes another one.

... and then I wondered... why the kid created the thread asking the same question when no one was even flaming him in his first thread...
And isn't this Question more relevant in a PC oriented forum? Only saying this as he is randomly creating new accounts for one question and then forgetting them.

Now that I think of it... that's actually quite likely.
And I bet the prices aren't even that good. Can't really beat MSY in Australia.

No worries. Your post probably just squeezed in slightly before, so not your fault.

RE: New PC advice please
Funny - I locked the thread before, then I asked myself, "why lock?" so I opened it again.
Now I know why I locked it originally.
Since someone was going to do it in the future anyway XD
Oh whilst I'm here, itestate appears to be mentioned a bit at Whirlpool forums, so prices are perhaps reasonable...
