Liking KDE 4 is nothing to be ashamed of. I like it, too (and I've used GNOME, XFCE, and LXDE, as well).

I used a few window managers, more than just KDE, Gnome, and xfce, but xfce has so far been my favourite, although closely followed by Gnome.

KDE just seems so bulky, I like Gnome and (moreso) xfce because they're much more lightweight.

I tried KDE4, and I did really like it, but I just couldn't use it on a daily basis.

its cool once you get used to it. i like KDE because i like a few of the k-apps. i especially prefer kwrite over all other text editors (emacs and vi fans in ep, im sorry). and i just enjoy all the customization options. (plus the fact that all your desktop icons are actually applets is really convenient for when you change a folder path...)

that's another thing, I like GTK+ sooo much more than QT. I think it just looks so much nicer.

also, I'm quite partial to gedit. Hihi

Well, KDE apps can work on other desktop environments, and vice-versa. I used to not like KDE back when 4.1 was out (KDE 4.1 had too many bugs, 4.2 fixed those bugs, and 4.3 is even better). It takes some getting used to, but KDE is pretty nice.

XFCE is basically a faster version of GNOME, but even faster than XFCE is LXDE (but it looks a bit different).
