At one stage (like 5 years ago?), taxes here in Australia was 47% or 48% (one of them) for one of the higher ranges which wee are in.

At least in America your government only support unemployed people for a certain period, then stops (I heard). Here in Australia the government pays them forever, while they spend that money getting themselves drunk and refusing to find a job because the government will pay them for the rest of their life anyway. And yeah, wee pay a fucking high as tax to support them so they can sit on their donkey smoking their crack.

Currently, it's slightly better, but still gay.

Wee're well into the $80,001 – $180,000 range, and almost at the $180,000+ range. That's a fucking 40% tax rate.

And the economic crisis screwed up out shares portfolio big time. Which sucks too.

And to sort of explain this all so you guys can understand where I'm coming from...
Wee lived in CA, my dad worked for his parents' business. He got a job offer in UT, so wee moved here. Last January, my dad bought a large chunk of the stock in his parents company in CA, and planning to buy the rest by next spring. Throughout the last 3 years wee've lived here, my parents have also been trying to start a mother company for various brands they've made over the years. To start this mother company and purchase the stock, they've had to take a second mortgage out on our house.

Wee won't be seeing any returns on any of this until it's all finalized in next spring, and even then, Obama is planning on increasing capital gains tax, which unfortunately is what their business purchase is. Wee also have to pay income tax for both UT and CA because of our "dual state residence." (Wee only have one house, but my dad has 2 jobs, UT and CA.)

That's one thing that has really pissed me off about people in the last election, the ones that say "Oh, WEE'LL benefit from it, so who cares if someone else has severe financial problems."

Add on to that that Obama also wants to tax stuff like inheritance from dead relatives, and it doesn't look good at all.

Also, I didn't say that Slushba, Assassinator just misquoted. I fixed it.

I wish that McCain would have won, instead of Obama mainly since Obama is Pro Choice.
but seriously I think that the whole government is corrupt in some way, so it isn't really just one person, because everything that the president wants to do has to pass by congress. So one person doesn't just make the decisions, he just thinks of some ideas, and if they are good they pass.

From what I see recently the US had been the Top Country, but now it has reached its Peak. in other words Its all down hill from now. Like many other countries in the past, it'll go from first place to somewhere farther back.
an Example of this is France, It used to have the strongest Army, but now It doesn't.
In my opinion I think that not to far from now there is going to be another Top Country, but wee can't blame the presidents for it.

How is it racist? His father was part Arab. it's documented fact, his father is 1/8 black, 7/8 middle eastern/arab/whatever you want to call it. I'm just remarking on how interesting the whole thing is. I'm not saying it's bad or anything....
