but what Hibby said has a very valid point. PS3 games are good as developers earn loads for making them. If they know that ripped games isos are circulating, hurting their profit, why will they do anything?
Its a double edged sword really.. has advantages and disadvantages!
hehe,. i guess playing back-ups is a top feature,. but i am not really referring to this feature with this topic,. more like homebrew and theming,.

RE: PS3 hacked like PSP
That is going to be a entire diff. league compared to PSP homebrews. More like applications. With the right people working on it, wee could see the dawning of an entire new category of software development. Something far more advanced than PSP...

RE: PS3 hacked like PSP
*People can already run homebrew through their ps3s, but not directly from the xmb
i read somewhere that D_A and his crew had discovered an exploit in one of sony's fw and successfully ran a warhawk backup, they tried with other games and got the same results

RE: PS3 hacked like PSP
ISO's are bad
Homebrew is good
I hope on the same situation as with the Wii. No ISO's, but a chocolateload of homebrew!
Also, Sony can't release a theme maker that lets you fully customize all the icons because of the copyright spoon on the XMB...

RE: PS3 hacked like PSP
To be perfectly honest, I hope there is NEVER a way to run PS3 ISO's. Console games are a bigger deal for developers, and piracy of those cost the devs more money.
Homebrew, though, would be awesome. I would love to see some PS3 homebrew that had a PSP counterpart, so you could like share stuff between the two.

Man, if I had 8 inches, I would find a better use for it :P
