Xvid 4 PSP
ok so #1 I've been having this problem with xvid 4 psp
i havent installed anything that should conflict with it
i have the same setup as i wrote here: http://endlessparadigm.com/forum/showthread.php?tid=760

x264 quits right when its about to begin, it doesn't even really start the windows report a problem thing is what appears when it about to start :P
i havent changed any settings or done anything to xvid4psp 4110
so i upgraded to (final) 4112 and it was doing the same thing again so today i upgraded to (FINAL) 4113 and its still doing the same thing
so what could be wrong? maybe anyone can point me in the right direction of how to handle this

i can either do it manually http://endlessparadigm.com/forum/showthread.php?tid=149
or i can try AVItoPMP
or maybe someone has had the problem before and knows how to fix it

RE: Xvid 4 PSP
You must have a screwed video or something.  Mencoder screws up as well?  That' kinda odd. (By the way, your CPU is, erm, a bit old)

Your source video a DivX in AVI?  Hmm, I guess it could be an AVI stream error.  Try opening the AVI on VirtualDubMod, and scan for stream errors.

RE: Xvid 4 PSP
One reason AVI is poo poo...

Not too much you can do, well, I can't really tell what's wrong.
Many things you can try, but dunno if they'll work.

Try this:
1) Open Notepad
2) Copy the following:

Code:
AVISource("MyVideo.avi")

3) Save the file as c.avs in the same folder as the AVI
4) See if c.avs plays back in Windows Media Player
5) If it does, try converting c.avs with XviD4PSP
