Avatar: 7.5/10
Sig: 8/10

I never bothered having a image in my sig on other forums so I just made this one earlier today.

I'm not disappointed in you, I'm disappointed in myself, for believing in you.

Just with Photoshop.  It took a little bit because I had only a vague idea of what to make initially so I tried a few different things.

RE: Rate the sig and/or the avatar above you
I made it all from scratch.  I'm not the best with Photoshop either but if you play around with some of the techniques in the tutorials at PhotoshopCAFE then you can get more comfortable with alot of the tools and features.

I'll tell you how I made the waves, though there are probably easier or better ways to do it.  I made a gradient that would go foreground to transparent then back to foreground, then made a selection across the image using guides to make the height even.  I filled the selection with a random colour and set the fill on that layer to 0%, then used the Blending Options to add a gradient overlay of the gradient that I had made and set the opacity of it to 30%, and then I duplicated the layer for the second set of waves.  I then played with the wave filter until I liked how the first wave layer looked, then used Free Transform to make the second wave layer a bit bigger and used slightly different settings on the the wave filter for it.  Then I cut both of the wave layers on the Disturbed half into two new layers, and merged each of them with new blank layers so that I could change the colour of the waves using Fill.  Then I just played around with the wave filter again on both of those layers until I liked how that part looked.  I think I also changed the opacity of the gradient fill on the Disturbed waves before I merged them with the blank layers, otherwise they were barely visible once I changed the colour.

I'm not disappointed in you, I'm disappointed in myself, for believing in you.
