Just make it seem like it's no big deal and that you like watching anime. Who cares what anyone else thinks. Believe me.........something like this has happened to me before, and I didn't take any notice of it and it was fine....
Just don't get embarrassed when he brings the subject up. Make it so he is in the wrong...

yeah, i get taken the piss out of that by my mates (light hearted, but same principles), then don't know any of the stuff that i watch, but just assume anime=Hentai....just laugh it off and it will disappear on it own
