RE: Leaked ACTA Treaty Will Outlaw P2P
They should ban the internet. It's a sure way of stopping mass piracy.

No, it's not. This is just about a single newly revealed clause of the ACTA. Consider it an add on to your thread.

RE: Leaked ACTA Treaty Will Outlaw P2P
man.. this is deep. but you can't blame the guy for wanting to outlaw p2p. I mean peopl have totally corrupted its primary purpose by sharing cracks, ISOs etc. IT was originally intended only for sharing free and legal stuff. This is expected when you consider the rapid crackdown of popular BT sites lately. Still this pops up one question. Why are they not acting against the Warez sites in that case.. and RS and MegaUp... Yes, it far easier to keep a tab on the P2p traffic, but that accounts only for about 40-50 % piracy.

I think you may be a little biased on the view. Warez forums actually are very small in comparison to the amount of traffic going through torrents.
Does your average computer user even know about warez sites? Don't know about you, but I've yet to know one.
Heck, torrenting has got into the news. Have yet to see any news on warez sites.

Even torrents are unheard of to Windows 98 and Microsoft Word users...

RE: Leaked ACTA Treaty Will Outlaw P2P
Combine these Filehosts and the acceleration and incrementation of the Internets speed... there will have to be New Counter-P2P Technologies created.
They don't have much chance on stopping those who use DDLs at the moment anyway.
There are thousands of users using Public Trackers, I don't know what will happen to private trackers but they seem the most unsafe to be on at the moment.
For now, Seed till you bleed!
