well i guess you're right. its a show you just need to enjoy instead of taking it seriously and try to critique it.
from this pov its goofiness is actually one of its strong point.

frankly, I hated it @ first cause that Simon guy just pissed me off. But after ep6 or 7, it became really interesting. The story line is what you'd expect of the Japs.. simplified Sci-Fi.. a twist in real science.. and a blend of creative reality with fantasy!
