RE: What exactly is Linux?
ooooohhh... I think I'm starting to understand this whole partitioning thing. Just a few more questions, then I'll leave you guys alone. First, how do I do the whole dual-boot thing? Second, wth is with the cube thing? Third, How taxing is it on the system resources? And finally, is it possible to give more than one reputation to someone? :D

Ge64 Wrote:Do you know about partitioning? If you already have windows installed and you install linux to a different partition it should automaticly set up dual booting.

if you search for dual boot windows ubuntu there will be a lot of tutorials that apply exactly to what you want.

The cube thing is a feature of a peice of software called Beryl that runs on Linux. as you can see its much cooler than windows (vista) :P

Linux is much less taxing on system resources than windows, if you were referring to the cube, it should work on most PCs without problems.

and uhm no unfortunately its not possible to rate somebody more than once, however if you become a senior member or moderator you can give somebody +2 instead of +1. don't worry about it though
