Good video player?
I'm sick and tired of jumping back and forth between the various video players I have installed on my computer. Is there one program that will play it all? MOV, AVI, MPG, and MKV are the main ones I use.
I know Quicktime for Mac has a bunch of plugins that let you play any and all formats on God's green earth, but are they available for Windows Quicktime?

Man, if I had 8 inches, I would find a better use for it :P
Like what, pushing elevator buttons?

RE: Good video player?
Metalgear, do yourself a favor and do this.
1) Uninstall ANY special Media Player(s) and Codecs/Codec Packs
2) Download CCCP from here: http://www.cccp-project.net/
3) Install the COMPLETE Package! (Media Player Classic should be selected with the Complete package)
4) Be Sure to follow its EVERY INSTRUCTION, including Resetting All to Default.
5) Enjoy everything with everything, stick to Media Player Classic and Windows Media Player.

Good idea, except,
2) I found CCCP to not have enough codecs. For a complete codec pack that allows you to play like 99.99% of everything out there, try the K-Lite Mega Codec Pack.
5) Forget WMP. MPC plays everything WMP plays, and has way better support for different formats.

K-lite has everything anyone would need too play any video. I have (or had, I need to check) a custom build of Mplayer the would play everything, no install needed, so that makes it great for USB drives. If anyone is going to ask, yes it plays WM3.

RE: Good video player?
MPUI is a GUI for MPlayer, though I like the VLC GUI better, so for portability, I'd just use that.
For a player, Media Player Classic or KMPlayer (very similar to MPC, but I like the OSD).
For codec packs - most of them rely on ffdshow to do most of the decoding, so there's not too much difference. K-Lite includes Real / QT Alternative as well as VFW codecs as a plus.
