RE: .FLAC
I do, I do.. :D

I rip all my DVD-Audio into FLAC.

I just wish my car's CD player would play them, it plays, MP3, OGG, WMA, but no FLAC Burning

RE: .FLAC
I can't really hear the difference between high bitrate and lossless anyways, so I generally don't use lossless.

To me, something like 160kb/s Vorbis is completely indistinguishable from lossless. So no point taking extra space.

Well all I use is my Zune, If I were to hook it up to a whole system and the spoon THEN  maybe I would.
But my earphones are good enough.

RE: .FLAC
i rip my cd's to 256 kb/s aac because my mp3 player plays aac (Sony walkman nwz-a818) 256 kb/s is good enough for me. i used to rip to 128 kb/s wma and now when i listen back to those i think "how the hell could i have ripped at such low quality, its awful!" i have tried ripping to lossless wma before but i didn't stick to it because of space limitations on my mp3 player.

RE: .FLAC
I rip CDs and convert lossless audio to ~192kbps Vorbis (q6).

Personally can't hear the difference, but I don't think I'll be having any high tech sound system in the near future anyway.  Considering that I find 96kbps Vorbis really good quality, double that should be good enough :P (if anyone's wondering how good I am at picking up defects, try a few tests similar to these)

I would need better ears cause the only time I can tell the difference between high bitrate and lowbitrate is when the low bitrate=48kbps and hi=128... after 128, it doesn't sound one bit different to me.. though my music is all at 256.
