Today I discovered a very handy technique for getting a book related assignment finished in good time. Just take a copy of whatever book you have to read, the assignment for said book, and the Cliff notes for said book.

I have to do a packet of questions and study on Fahrenheit 451 to make up for my failed English term last year, and I really don't have the time to read this, so I just sorta adopted this technique. I look at a question, find where it is in the Cliff notes, and if it's not specific enough, go to the section in the book to read for the answer. Rinse and repeat for the next 150 questions.

On a different note, though, this assignment is actually much easier than I expected. While there are some outside-the-tect things in the packet, it's not crazy in depth that you have to know a section by heart. Plus, for the final project in the make-up class I have to design what I think the mechanical dog looks like. I have this totally badass design cooked up that I'll be showing off in a few days.

For ancient plays and such, just youtube some filmed versions. Worked fine for Oedipus Rex for me :D

lol you mean that movie you were watching while on IRC a while ago? The one you kept saying was so stupid?

Yeah but wee watched it in class (on youtube lol) anyway so there wasn't anything i could do about it. The movie was stupid, but reading the book is way worse.

Its a good read, shouldn't cheat yerself from it.  If you truly don't have time, get the audiobook and listen to it while you're playing the 360, watching hershey kisses, whatever.

And yeah, folks have been doing this in college for years, its the entire reason cliffnotes exists.

Also, instead of cliffnotes, there are study guides online that can get ya through just about anything.

Fahrenheit 451 is a good read - even if you don't do it now, you should read it some time IMO.

Oh I definitely plan on reading it, just when I'm not swamped trying to finish half of a term of English 11 in one weekend while pulling my grade in Film Lit. up from a 36% and trying to make up my bad attendance in Digital Photography. And I can tell it's an amazing book, just from the parts I've read.
