i bought a new ps3 slim v3.50 since i got the news that it can play backup games.

question: do i need to update to 3.55 so i can jailbreak it? see this post: http://www.gadgetsdna.com/geohot-release...load/7996/

if update will be needed please link me to a working files please. im hesitant to do it because theres no PANDORA incase it fail.

please. advice!

You need 3.55 since your on 3.50. Downgrading to 3.41 can cause problems like blue ray movies not working and you need to buy a UBS dongle. Use this guide to install Kmeaw CFW which needs nothing more then a USB stick and a few files. Geohot's CFW does not have backup manger support anyway.
