(2,160 is the fastest it's EVER gone).

RE: Mozilla Thunderbird, "Webmail" addon Setup
the fastest download ive had was about 2.4mb download speed, (2,400kbps) but i usually get about 1.6ish (1,600kbps) down as an average.
my upload speed is faster then zinga's and assasinators download, utorrent does about 75-90 kbps up.
but the good thing is i have no limits so i can download as much as i want!! :D

WOW, from what ive read about Zinga's and assasinators internet connection and what ben3gfc has told me australia isn't very good with broadband is it?
here in the UK ive got a connection which gives me a 16mb (which gives me about a 1.6 mb/s download speed) connection with no usage caps. i can download as much as i want. its only

RE: Mozilla Thunderbird, "Webmail" addon Setup
Telstra isn't actually that great (expensive, usually slow, bad customer support, counts uploads toward download quota).  My issue is that my parents never use the internet, so they don't give a damn about getting a good connection.

Internode is probably one of the best, for Australia.  IDK what the prices are now, but over a year and a half ago, they offered 15GB/month 24Mbps (ADSL2+) for $60/month.  iiNet isn't bad, but you need to bundle iiPhone with it.  $50/month for 20GB/month (10 on peak, 10 off peak) 24Mbps.

Back on topic, I tried the webmail plugin.  Yeah, it's kinda odd.  Didn't work for me first time, but after I uninstalled both plugins, then reinstalled, they worked.
Did you follow this guide? http://webmail.mozdev.org/setup.html

yes i did follow that guide but it doesn't give too much info, i did like what you did an uninstalled them both then re-installed them with still no success. i get the error that "localhost has timed out"
any solutions?

Check the Webmail plugin to see if the POP thingy is working (go through the Add-ons weindow).

Also try disabling firewalls.

Umm, otherwise, I haven't gotten that error.  Try recreating your account in Thunderbird too.
