Hosting Recommendations
I need to host a website but I'm looking for a fairly cheap host. All I need is the php mail function and that's about it, the site is flash so enough bandwidth for a couple of users a month. I'm looking to pay monthly <$8, tried Dotster but the mail function stopped working and they haven't responded so screw them. Anyone have any past experiences, recommendation, etc? I know some good ones, but none that offer monthly payments for under $12 :/

RE: Hosting Recommendations
Ive gone with 1&1.com and can say that they seem to be the cheapest place for shared webhosting. Just get the smallest package then later upgrade if you do need the extra bandwidth or space. Also makes sure to get the Linux package.

RE: Hosting Recommendations
Don't use shared hosting here, but people seem to recommend HostGator and DreamHost. IDK if they'll suit your needs, but should be fine from what I've heard.

I know it's much cheaper but the people are looking for something strictly monthly

They're good and cheap but require a $20-$50 "set-up" fee for monthly payments.

That's pretty sh*t then... >_>
I guess the reputable hosts are trying to lock in more profits...
