hex editing question
I'm still learning about hex editing & I'm trying to move the text in the option menu bar, but I don't know exactly what I'm suppose to put in the float value.
Everytime I try to change one of the numbers it gives me a semi-brick
heres what I'm trying to edit

I just want to move the the text in the option menu over to the right a little bit

What do enter for the float value?

RE: hex editing question
Yeah that bookmark list is still for 3.90 because the commengui 3.90 still works in 4.01m33(if i am correct)
try and look for -235 in your 4.00 commengui the one you are trying to change,.
goto >>EDIT>>FIND... select 32bit float then type -235 you will see a search window click the offset and change the float value,.

RE: hex editing question
At first it didn't work when searching, it came up no string found
then I remembered I was using one from another theme ,so I used the original & it worked.
Now the option menu pic looks messed up
what is the offset to fix it to look like it did in the pic I posted?
Thanks Vegetano

If you know the offset you can change the x position in the commengui.prx wich you used first,.
or
you can go on with the otiginal commengui.prx you edited but then you have to change y size of infobar to 272 and the x size you will have to know whot was used in the 360 theme,.
then you still got to change a lot of text sizes and info bar positions for the multiple language settings,..
note: the first commengui you had (the one from the other theme) try and use the "3.95 commengui bookmark list"
