i think you can download GParted and run it off a bootable cd, so you can partition from there...

well my cuzin (he some realy good computer genius) said he will take a look :D he said that there probably is a problem with the partition table

well now the whole windows is fudgeed it won't even load it jus goes straight to a BSoD so im guna re-install but how do i make a partition FAT32 when making my partitions on vista set up

also is there a way where i can make xp into a live cd so that i can jus use it like the ubuntu cd

hmm so you REALLY don't want to go with Vista eh?

have you tried reformatting before trying to install windows XP? get a Live cd so you can install easilly

no i wanted to back up all my files with the xp live cd

hmm. . . there is something I saw before in another site. . .that lets you run winXP live using a USB thumb drive. . .I think it was called win XP live USB or something like that. . . you just needed to change something in the BIOS to make the computer boot from removable drives _first_ and not the harddrive/OS/ . . and that will make it run off your flash drive.
