My first thought as well, much as I hate some of the things Sony does, they're not idiots.  There's some very talented coders working there, and I'm sure that it's been cracked by now.

^ They can't really patch anything - so Sony knowing the source doesn't mean much.  They can make it difficult for developers to make custom firmwares, but the fact is, that probably takes more effort than it's worth...

But yeah, if they could actually be bothered, they would've easily disassembled DAX's work ages ago (but I doubt they care).


But now, it means that Open Edition is truly open :P
