Different copy, yes, but it's all essentially you!
Vegetano1 Wrote:travels to the future>>travels back and will die>>so if he won't travel back and die he can't know this in the future yet<>? because he did't travel back yet,.
Use information from other places, ie death records, newspaper etc.
Vegetano1 Wrote:it is,. but maybe that is whot will happen if you try,..
If you travelled into the past and you also turned into your past state - including memories, brain state, etc, then there is no time disturbance, thus no-one really travelled in time...
i still disagree with all 3 statements,. ;p
first the copies won't know of each other they excist,. and they will all be influenced by other time periods,. but yes a copy is copy and thus a clone and so geneticlly the same,..
i thought he will die after he gets back into time,.. so basicly it has't happend yet in the future,. so there is no news about it yet,..
maybe you mean he dies in the period between the first time travel,. present >> future<>?
yes,. you would travel back in time without knowing,..

Why won't they know each other? If you had the plan and clone yourself, all your copies will know that you exist in all different timezones.

No, he won't by himself, but he can retrieve information outside his own timeline.
For example, currently 2009, travel to 2030, and back to 2000. Dies in 2000 - obviously records of his death exist from 2000 onwards. When he is in 2030 though, he sees his own grave, died in 2000, so he can know of actions he performs in his future using information gained about his future from everyone's past.

no no no,. 2009alive, so he did't die yet(this happens when he goes back to 2000 from 2030)>>2030there is still no record of his death>>goes to 2000 and dies,. he won't be able to go back to 2030 to see records of his death,..
He can't find records of his death if he has't been there yet,. (traveling back from the future,..)
Even time traveling got a time line,.. if you was to travel in time,.
you got me on the cpy's thingy there,. :( they prob all know but they are't in touch so they won't be sharing anything)

The problems here, for me at least would be that you would be going 21 years older, then back 30 years biologically, because unless "duplicates" existed - your body would have to reverse,, surely? Let alone that nothing could be changed, like I mentioned with the string earlier, any damage (things that happen) made is permanent, and even if you go back, you can't avoid, or change anything that has already taken place.. and that leads me to believe Time Travel is impossible - or jumping in time, so to speak.
"Fast forwarding" from that point in time to another one, like you would expect to happen with cryogenics is the nearest thing you could get I suppose.
