Encoding Tutorials
I've been wondering... many people here are pretty efficient with encoding and stuff...

And, even though Google is everyone's best friend, laziness is the whore. So can you guys like, put up a really good tutorial? Explaining the terminology, basic steps, tips, recommendations etc?
