RE: lowering the size of the picture or icon
once you go image»index, it indexes the whole canvas, you just want the indexed image so you can save as a png or 32 bit image.

index the image, then ctrl-a, ctrl-c, ctrl-n, enter, make sure image»mode - rgb, ctrl-v

umm?

ummmm, has anyone tried "Save for Web/Devices"

that's usually the easiest way to lower a picture size....

RE: lowering the size of the picture or icon
in my experience on making theme it's not the file size that affect, i have no explanation for this but for me it's on the numbers of color that PSP can project somewhat related to RAM (according to others).

that number of colors is unknown to me that's why lot of themers use the index option because it projects only 8bit color that make your image blur because it lessen the color but it works.

bro zinga remove that recognition of 8bit and file size limit in his latest RCO EDitor thanks Z.

-if you want to have a good icons you have to sacrifice your
*background
*optionbar
*Icon Glow

-if you want to have a good background sacrifice your
*wave

-if you want to make it all work keep "tracking my themes" i made all things possible specially icons, wave, wallpaper and optionbars.

for me theme is very dull if it doesnot have wave and optionbars. but if wee can put wallpaper together with icons, optionbar  and wave that would be awesome but it's really pain in the donkey.
