so recently i stumbled a great deal on 500gb HDDs ($35 each) at a Anime con. so i have re-opened the project, and i am taking more part suggestions as i havent taken the price of the HDDs out of the budget

also i locked the maximum budget.

These days, you also have the NVidia GTX460, which would probably be the best card to go between the Radeon 5770 and 5850.

GTX460, unlike the earlier Fermi designs, does not suck donkey (doesn't overheat, doesn't use massive amounts of power, and isn't overpriced).

Oh, for anyone interested, I also heard news that Intel's next generation Sandy Bridge absolutely cannot overclock, unless you buy some expensive K version.

this is the month people... i still need certain part suggestions

for example should i upgrade to a 6 core or just do 4? I'm also looking at prices at some of them...

my budget may adjust so i could get better parts

I'd recommend an i5 2500 over a Phenom II X6 now, unless you really can utilise the 6 cores.
2500K if you want to overclock.
i7 2600/K if you really have the cash and can make use of HT - probably still won't recommend it.
