RE: Need some help
well you also have to remember that ram does play a big role on how fast the computer works with photoshop, a good graphics card also has a part to play in it too.
like when i got my 256mb card photoshop worked/went extremely fast (but i also got 2 GB's of ram XD)
also, rendering things in C4D doesn't take an hour to do anymore
but hell, you have a mac; so why am i saying this? :P because in many mac computer you cant change the video card! :( or can you? i wouldn't know :P

RE: Need some help
RIKKU YOU ARE EXACTLY WHAT I HAVE BEEN LOOKING FOR.
I just upgraded my Macbook Pro from 2GB to 4GB, so I have 2GB of Mac RAM with nothing to use it in. I can sell it to you for a good price :D (If I recall correctly, iMacs use laptop components, so my RAM should fit in your computer)
I don't know about shipping costs, but yeah.

If you've got a Mac Pro tower, you can. But not on the all-in-ones. In fact, you can't upgrade the graphics on any all-in-one computers, regardless of company. But Rikku's iMac came with a pretty good graphics card I believe, so if she upgrades the RAM, she should be fine.

Creepy
Anyway
http://www.tigerdirect.com/
I like this site because they are cheap, but I have no idea if they ship to Australia or not.
I practically bought my whole desktop computer from them.
But you still need to figure out what pin type your ram is if you are going buy new ones.

RE: Need some help
I usually buy my stuff from these two stores (generally provide the cheapest prices around here, and it's reasonably easy for me to physically get there):
http://umart.com.au/
http://qcgo.com.au/
I can't remember where you live though - from memory, Sunshine Coast?
Anyway, memory is cheap - shouldn't expect to pay more than $100 for 2GB DDR2.
