I have played my Dynastywarriors2.dax in 3.10 OE and it worked, also worked in 3.40 OE...
so, its just the file, or is that DAX was unintentionally added?

O_O I've not seen it work before... can anyone else verify this?

z7shaft: You sure it's a DAX file and not an ISO in disguise? Can you open it in WinRAR?

Oh and I am officially obsessed with the new girl in your sig ExBu :)

RE: The Big(ish) Guide to ISOs
You can also check the file signature - open the "DAX" file in a hex editor and look at the first 4 bytes.

CISO = CSO
DAX. = DAX
blank (....) = ISO

:P

z7shaft Wrote:well I don't have a hex editor so...
I have tried renaming it to iso, to rar, leaving as it is and then try to open it in winrar...
nothing happens... could somebody give me a link to any hex editor to check this?

and if it were an iso disguised in dax, how can the OE recognize it? the file extension is DAX not ISO...
Oh just downloaded a hex editor (XVI32)
the first 4 bytes are... CISO!!!

well this makes me sad I though I had something that could lead to DAX in OE...

Very strange. Though, do you have file extensions turned on in your Windows? If they're turned off then all you were looking at was the name of the file. So if you switched file extensions on you'd most likely see Dynastywarriors2.dax.cso

Shame though, that would have been an interestingfreak occurence :D
