need some help with shadows
Hi All,

I am in desperate need of help. I have converted an old topmenu to a 3.40 compatible one. it works perfectl with the exception to the shadows. I have some weird errors that I cannot fix. the following image will show exactly what i mean.

I've no idea how to fix this, please help!

RE: need some help with shadows
You have extracted the Shadow icon's and are trying to reuse them..

I tried too and got the same prob..

I made all shadow custom like this:
NOTE: i have a photoshop file with my icon in one layer and a black background layer..
I used the original icon and in photoshop i set hue and saturation min and plus untill you get a a completely white icon with blackbackground then add to the icon a outher glow of 3 and make sure the glow is white.
Now paint the Alpha channel white..

You might need to go back into photoshop after testing to position the shadow at the right place you want..

This is one way to do it and i do not recommend it cause it takes alot of time considering all icon's..

RE: need some help with shadows
i found a solution. i was going through the post and it looks like the bmps do not store visible dimensions versus the dimensions of the pictures. so if you extract the files at dat or mig. once you replace they shadows show have no alignment problems!! so extract your shadows as migs and edit whatever you want (icons, etc.) once you're all done, use rco to plug everything back into the topmenu and you should be dandy!
