A couple of days ago I was taking part in a car boot sale to try and get rid of a load of old rubbish that I don't need or want anymore and try and make a little money while I was at it. I ended up making -£17. That was because I bought something.

I was wondering around the site when I saw someone selling a load of printer cartriges. I had a look through the box to see if there were any that would fit my printer. There weren't but next to the box I saw what looked like a laptop bag but it was the swrong shape. I opened it up and inside was a projector. I asked if it worked and how much they wanted for it. £20 and yes it works.

FUCKING AWESOME.

So now I have a projector. It's an Infocus LP530 DLP projector that can manage 1024x768 resolution. By no means amazing but hey, it was £20. But it doesn't have a remote. It's no biggie but It'd be nice to have one. I was on the manufacturer's website and came across this.

Now I know nothing about programming remote controls, PSP homebrew apps that can emulate a remote control or any combination of the two. It's been a long time since I've used my PSP.

So my first question is: Does anyone know of a homebrew app that I can program custom remote codes into for controling a projector?

Also does anyone know where I can get an M1 to VGA cable or adapter for cheap that won't take a month to arrive? I've checked eBay and because it's an uncommon connector people charge stupid amounts of money for one. The lead that came with the projector is faulty. No green signal is getting through. It works fine on other inputs so I know that it's almost certainly the lead.

tl;dr, Need a way of programming custom remote codes into a PSP so I can control a projector.

tl;dr 2, Need a cheap source of M1 to VGA adaptors/leads.

Exactly where I've just come from. I found one called PSP Universal remote but it doesn;t support my projector. The only other one I can find is IR Shell. Does thiss allow you to enter custom remote codes?

not custom remote codes, as far as I know, but you can put in custom rdf (I think that was the extension lol. Been days since I used it) files, so if you can find one for the projector, you're good to go.

indeed, you can hope somone may have already done what syfe mentioned and the rdt extension file xitherun mentioned may be floating around on the net. I once came accros a download on hacks or something that hada bunch of controllers programed for the psp available to download and put in IRshell. If you could stumble across something like that you mgiht be in luck.
